Maths Retriever Privacy Policy

Only when you use a feature that needs it — marking, hints, worked solutions, progress notes and similar — the app sends what that feature needs: the question, your answer and, for marking, an image of your written working. Please don’t write your name or other personal details in your work.

To run the service, the app also uses a random device identifier, your subscription status and simple usage counts. This is how daily limits work and how misuse is stopped.

Trusted service providers host the service and run its AI features on our behalf. They may use your content only to answer your request: they are not allowed to use it to train AI models, and we ask them not to keep it. Purchases are handled by Apple — we never see your payment details.

Your work and the replies to it are not kept in our server logs or analytics. A finished result may be held, encrypted, for up to 15 minutes so it isn’t lost if the app is interrupted, and it is deleted as soon as the app receives it. Technical and subscription records are kept only as long as they are needed to run and protect the service.

The app has no social, messaging or community features. Nothing you write or photograph is shown to anyone else.

Your saved work stays on your device, or in your own iCloud backup if you make one. In the app’s settings, Delete my data lets you erase your saved work and remove the records linked to your device from our servers. You can also simply not use the AI features.

Maths Retriever is an educational app. It doesn’t ask for names or contact details, doesn’t show third-party advertising and doesn’t build advertising profiles.

This website counts page visits with a privacy-friendly analytics service. It uses no advertising cookies and doesn’t follow you across other sites.
